AMR Songs Signs Exclusive Admin Deal with Fitz and the Tantrums’ Keyboardist Jeremy Ruzumna, Acquire

AMR Songs has acquired the songwriting catalog of Fitz and the Tantrums’ keyboardist and Grammy-nominated songwriter/producer Jeremy Ruzumna, signing an exclusive worldwide admin deal.

Global independent publishing company AMR Songs, founded by industry veteran Tamara Conniff, has announced an exclusive, worldwide administration deal with Jeremy Ruzumna, Grammy-nominated songwriter/producer and keyboardist of Fitz and the Tantrums. The agreement also sees AMR Songs acquiring his songwriting interests in his back catalog.

Ruzumna has contributed to Fitz and the Tantrums’ biggest hits, including their debut single, “Out of My League,” which hit No. 1 on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart in 2013. He also contributed to “HandClap,” the group’s highest-charting single, and “The Walker,” a popular track featured in various films, TV series, commercials, and video games.

Having begun his illustrious career as keyboardist and co-writer for Macy Gray, Ruzumna helped her write her first three critically acclaimed albums, including the hit single “I Try.” Ruzumna has also co-written and/or produced songs for artists including Bruno Mars, Da Baby, Chris Brown, BROCKHAMPTON, Cee Lo Green, Rod Stewart, and many others.

“Jeremy Ruzumna is behind some of the most recognizable songs of the last decade,” says AMR co-founder and CEO Tamara Conniff. “Not only does his music stand the test of time, but the diverse range of his songwriting and producing remains undeniable. We are privileged to be representing his works, and I could not be more excited to have him join the AMR family and be a part of our growing roster.”

“I’m so excited to join the AMR Songs roster. Tamara and her team have created the perfect home for my catalog. They are 100% focused on creative and supporting songwriters, and I know they will do a great job representing my songs around the world,” adds Jeremy Ruzumna.

AMR Songs has built its business around providing a creative home for artists and writers, proactively nurturing and marketing catalogs, and signing and developing artists, songwriters, and producers — not just acquiring rights.

Its catalog includes the works of John Sebastian and the Lovin’ Spoonful, the reggae band SOJA, and select interests in music publishing, producer, and artist royalties from hundreds of celebrated songs, including works by Brantley Gilbert, Boston, Carly Simon, Celine Dion, Charlie Daniels, Eminem, Enrique Iglesias, James Arthur, Janet Jackson, Jennifer Lopez, Juanes, Kane Brown, Leona Lewis, Lil Wayne, Linda Ronstadt, Little River Band, Luke Combs, Pitbull, and more.
